Vietnam trip planner for Indian travellers — visa, timings, and what closes
Vietnam is the ₹799 case: a long-haul trip where the entry rules, the internal flights and the site timings all have to line up, and where a plan that is a day out is a plan that wasted a flight. This page lists what we checked ourselves, with dates, and names what we did not.

What we checked
The Cu Chi tunnels, at both Ben Dinh and Ben Duoc, are open 7am to 5pm every day, and the ticket counter stops selling at 4pm.

Most Ha Long Bay overnight cruises board between noon and 12.30pm and are back at the harbour late the next morning, which puts you in Hanoi around 4pm.
Checked · 11 Sept 2026
Hoi An old town charges 120,000 VND per adult for a ticket that covers five heritage sites. Lantern night falls on the 14th of every lunar month: from 6pm to 10pm the lights go off and traffic stops, and you still need the ticket that night.

What we could not check
Current e-visa processing time
It moves with policy and we last used it on our own trip. We will tell you what happened to us and on what date; do not treat that as this month's number.
Sapa and the far north
We have not been. A page about a place we have not stood in is the thing this site refuses to publish.
