Rajasthan trip planner — what actually opens, and when
Rajasthan is the trip where being wrong about a time costs you a day. The forts are ticketed, several sites keep different hours in summer and winter, and a composite ticket has rules that nobody prints on the itinerary you were sent. This page lists what we checked ourselves, with the date we checked it, and says plainly what we did not.

What we checked
Amber Fort opens at 8am and the last daytime entry is at 5pm, every day of the week. Indian adults pay ₹200 and students ₹100.

The Jaipur composite ticket costs ₹550 for an Indian adult and ₹180 for a student, and covers Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Nahargarh Fort and Albert Hall.

Jodhpur and Udaipur timings
We have been, but not recently enough to stand behind an opening time. A stale hour is worse than no hour.

They move with the week and the weather. We can tell you when a place opens; we cannot tell you how long you will stand.
