Refunds and Cancellation
We charge a small fee upfront for work a person does by hand, so the rules for getting it back are written to be checkable rather than vague. No judgement calls, no arguing.

What you are paying for
A written travel plan — ₹499 for a domestic trip, ₹799 for an international one. That covers a trip of up to 5 days in India or 7 abroad; each day beyond that adds ₹149 in India or ₹249 abroad, and the total is shown before you pay. One payment, one plan, delivered within 24 hours at a private link, with 1 free revision included.
There is no subscription. Nothing renews, nothing auto-charges, so there is nothing to cancel later. You are not buying flights, hotels or tickets from us — we never book anything, so this policy only ever covers our own plan fee.
1. Within 12 hours of payment — full refund, either side, no reason needed
For 12 hours after you pay, either of us can call it off and you get 100% of your fee back. You do not have to explain why, and it does not matter how much of your plan we have already built.
The clock is a specific, checkable thing: it starts at the payment timestamp on your Razorpay receipt, and it does not depend on anyone’s judgement about when “work began”.
It cuts both ways, deliberately. We take any destination you give us — we do not keep a list of approved places. What we cannot promise before looking is that we can check your destination to our own standard. So we look, early; and if we conclude we cannot, we tell you and refund you in full inside the same 12 hours. You are never left holding a plan we could not verify, and we are never forced to ship one.
After 12 hours the research is done and we are committed to delivering — but clauses 2 and 3 below still cover you if we are late, or if something we said we checked turns out to be wrong.
2. If we miss the 24-hour window — full refund
Your plan is due at your private link within 24 hours of a successful payment. If it is not there, you can ask for a full refund at any point after those 24 hours — even if we deliver it later.
You do not have to prove anything. Our own timestamps are the record, and the delay is our fault, not yours.
3. If something we checked is materially wrong — free fix first, then a refund
Every stop in a paid plan carries a dated “Checked on” stamp. A stop is materially wrong if, on the date printed on that stamp, any of these was already true:
- It had permanently closed. The place was already shut for good when we said we had checked it.
- The location is wrong. The address or map point we gave is not where the place actually is.
- The price band is wrong. The real, typical price was more than 50% above the top of the band we published.
- The opening hours are wrong. The hours we stamped were already incorrect on that date.
Tell us and we fix it on your free revision, within 24 hours of your message. If we cannot fix it — or the fix is wrong too — you get a full refund of the plan fee, and you keep the plan. We are not going to ask you to hand back a document.
One thing this clause does not cover: a place that changed after the date on its stamp. That is clause 4.
4. What we cannot refund
These are the honest limits. They exist because the plan is research, not a booking, and because the world moves after we check it.
- A change of taste. Nothing in the plan is factually wrong, you would just have picked different places. Use your free revision — that is what it is for.
- Anything that changed after the check date. A venue closing for a festival or a wedding, a price rise, a new holiday closure, a renovation, weather, strikes, traffic or transport changes. Every stamp shows its date so you always know how fresh the check is, and time-critical things should still be confirmed before you go.
- Your trip changing. If you cancel, postpone or cut short your trip after the plan is delivered, the research was still done.
- Anything you booked yourself. Hotels, flights, trains, cabs, entry tickets — those are your contracts with those providers, and their refund rules are theirs. We never book, hold or move money for travel.
- The free draft. It costs nothing, so there is nothing to refund. It is also auto-generated and unverified — see the terms.
5. How to ask
Email support@dontplanit.com or message +91 97997 50066 with three things:
- the payment reference from your Razorpay receipt;
- your plan link;
- one line saying which of the rules above applies.
We reply within 2 working days. If your request meets any rule above, we approve it. We do not haggle, and there is no form to fill in.
6. How the money comes back
- Refunds go back to the same payment method you paid with, through Razorpay. We cannot send it anywhere else.
- We start the refund within 2 working days of approving it.
- It reaches you within 5–7 working days. Your bank or card issuer may add a few days at their end — that part is out of our hands.
- We refund the full amount you paid. We do not deduct a processing fee.
7. If you think we got the decision wrong
Say so. Our grievance officer is named on the contact page, along with the escalation path. We acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days, as the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020 require. If you are still unhappy after that, the same page lists the consumer helpline and the redressal forums you can go to.
