Terms of Service
We sell one thing: a written travel plan that a real person has checked. We do not book anything and we never touch your travel money. Here is the whole agreement, in plain English.

1. Who you are dealing with
DontPlanIt (dontplanit.com) is run by Akshat Jain, sole proprietor, based in India at b1-1006, DSR Highland Greenz, Chikkanayakanahalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560035. When this page says “we” or “us”, that is who it means. “You” is the person who uses the site or pays for a plan.
Using dontplanit.com means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. What DontPlanIt is
DontPlanIt is an information product. You pay us to research and write a travel plan: which places to go to, in what order, roughly when, roughly what it costs, and how to get between them. A person checks the places in your paid plan before you see it, and each one carries the date it was checked.
That is the entire product. It is words, maps and timings on a page.
3. What DontPlanIt is not
This matters more than anything else on this page, so it gets its own list. We are not:
- a travel agent or tour operator. We do not sell travel services, packages or tours;
- a booking service. We do not book, reserve or hold flights, trains, hotels, cabs, tickets or tables — not on your behalf, not on anyone else’s;
- a payment service. We never hold, move, collect or forward money for your trip. The only money we ever take is our own plan fee;
- a party to your travel arrangements. When you book a hotel, a flight or a ticket, that contract is between you and that provider. Their terms, their cancellation rules, their refunds. We are not in it.
If you split costs with friends inside the app, we only do the arithmetic and hand you a UPI link. The money goes directly between you and them. It never passes through us.
4. The free draft is auto-generated and unverified
Before you pay anything, you can generate a free draft. That draft is produced automatically by software, including an AI model, and no person has checked it.
It is a starting point to show you the shape of a plan. Places may have closed, moved or changed. Timings, distances and costs in the draft are estimates. We label it as a draft everywhere it appears, and we mean it.
The free draft is provided as-is, for free, with no promises of accuracy. Do not book anything, buy anything or commit to anything on the strength of a free draft.
5. What the paid plan actually promises
In a paid plan, a person checks each stop and stamps it with the date they checked it. That stamp means: on that date, we confirmed the place exists, confirmed where it is, and confirmed what we could about its opening hours, its price band and how to get there.
What the stamp does not mean
It is a photograph of a moment, not a guarantee about your travel dates. Opening hours change. Prices go up. Places shut for a festival, a wedding, a monsoon month, a renovation, or for good. A check done in July tells you what was true in July.
So, before you rely on anything time-critical — last entry, a ticket price, a seasonal closure, a booking cut-off, a train slot — confirm it directly with the place before you travel. We tell you what we found and when we found it. The final confirmation is yours to make.
We also never invent a fact. If we could not confirm something, we say so instead of filling the gap with a plausible guess.
6. Price, payment and delivery
- ₹499 for a domestic plan, ₹799 for an international one. That covers a trip of up to 5 days in India or 7 abroad; each day beyond that adds ₹149 in India or ₹249 abroad, and the total is shown before you pay. One payment, one plan.
- It is a one-time fee, paid upfront. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
- Payments are handled by Razorpay (UPI, cards and the other methods they offer). We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank credentials.
- The amount shown at checkout is the amount you pay. Applicable taxes, if any, are included in it.
- We deliver your plan within 24 hours of a successful payment, at a private link. If we miss that window you can claim a full refund — see the refund policy.
- For 12 hours after payment, either of us can cancel for any reason and you get the full fee back. Same link, clause 1.
- Prices can change for future plans. The price you paid is the price for the plan you bought.
7. Your revision
Every paid plan includes 1 free revision. Tell us what is wrong or what you want moved — a stop swapped, a day slowed down, a mistake fixed — and we redo it once, free, within 24 hours of your request.
Ask within 14 days of delivery. A revision is one round of changes, not an open-ended rewrite of a different trip: if you change your destination or your dates entirely, that is a new plan.
8. Your private link
Your plan lives at a long, unguessable link. There are no accounts and no passwords — that link is the key. Anyone you send it to can see the plan, which is the point: your travel group should not need to sign up for anything.
Treat the link as private. If you post it publicly, you have made your plan public. Tell us and we can retire a link.
9. Fair use
You may:
- use your plan for your own trip, however you like;
- share it with the people travelling with you, and with anyone helping you plan;
- print it, save it, mark it up.
Please do not:
- resell, republish or redistribute our plans commercially, or pass them off as your own work;
- scrape, bulk-download or copy the site to build a competing product;
- use the site for anything unlawful, or to harass anyone through a guest link or a shared plan;
- enter someone else’s personal details without telling them. If you invite people to a trip, they should know you are doing it.
We own the plans we write and the way this site presents them. Buying a plan gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use it for your trip and share it with your travel group — not to resell it.
We can suspend access for anyone who breaks these rules. If we do that to a paying customer and they had not broken them, we refund them.
10. What we are responsible for — and what we are not
We are responsible for doing the work we sold you: researching your plan, checking the stops we say we checked, delivering on time, and being honest about what we could not confirm. If we get that wrong, the refund policy says exactly what you get back.
We are not responsible for:
- a venue closing, changing its hours, raising its prices or shutting permanently after the date we checked it;
- anything a third party does or fails to do — hotels, airlines, railways, cab drivers, tour desks, restaurants, ticketing sites;
- weather, strikes, traffic, road closures, cancelled transport, illness, visa refusals or government restrictions;
- losses from decisions you make using the plan — bookings, non-refundable tickets, time taken off work;
- websites we link to. We link them because they are useful, not because we control them.
Where the law allows us to limit our liability, our total liability to you for any claim connected to a plan is capped at the fee you paid for that plan. Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have under Indian consumer law, and nothing here excludes liability for fraud or for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Changes to the service and to these terms
We may change how the site works, and we may update these terms. When we do, we change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. The terms that apply to your plan are the ones published on the day you paid.
If we ever stop offering the service, plans already paid for still get delivered, or refunded.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your rights under consumer law, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction.
Before that, please just talk to us — most things are fixable in a message. Our contact and grievance page has the channels, the response times and the escalation path.
